VSAT

A VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) is a small earth station, typically a 0.60.6–2.4 m2.4\,m dish, made of an indoor unit (IDU: modem and user interface) plus an outdoor unit (ODU: dish, BUC, LNB, feed).

The end-to-end signal path identifies the indoor and outdoor equipment between the user terminal, satellite, and hub or remote.

VSAT path: user → IDU → ODU (BUC/LNB/dish) → satellite → hub or remote VSAT.
